The Raised Game

Questions

What athletes askbefore they begin.

Rules and your medical team

01Is there anything I would have to declare?

Nothing is taken, injected or applied, so no substance enters your body. Tell your medical team you are having sessions, as you would for any outside practitioner, and declare them wherever your sport's rules ask.

02Will my club doctor be comfortable with this?

It works alongside your doctors and physios, never instead of them, and changes nothing in your treatment or rehab. You can share our page for medical teams with your club doctor.

03Can a session be aimed at an opponent?

Never. Everything Jonathan does for athletes and teams works only on your own side.

04Does it replace my physio?

No. Your physio leads your rehab. The sessions put energy into the injured area alongside it.

05What if I am dealing with anxiety or depression?

The weekly sessions are built for pressure, nerves, focus and resilience, not for treating anxiety or depression. Anyone dealing with either should keep their doctor or psychologist involved; the sessions can sit alongside that care, never in place of it.

06Do I have to talk about my past, or anything painful?

No. Tell Jonathan only what you want to work on. The sessions clear the energy around old experiences without anyone having to name them, so there is nothing to relive.

07I am always tired, or keep getting ill. What should I do?

Speak to your team doctor or dietitian first. Constant tiredness, frequent illness or missed periods can mean the body is not getting enough fuel, and that needs medical care. Sessions can sit alongside it.

Timing

08When do sessions happen?

Mind and emotions sessions once a week, lying down, at a time you agree, at least two days before you compete. In a tournament week with competition every day, it moves to the week before or the week after. Body sessions any time, even the day before a game. Additional sessions whenever you need them.

09Can I have a session the night before a game or race?

Yes: that is what Match-Day Recharge is for, timed to when you compete. Body sessions are fine then too. Your weekly mind and emotions session is the one to keep at least two days before.

10Are there any after-effects the next day?

Not from body sessions: they leave nothing to recover from, which is why they can run the day before or after you compete. Most people notice nothing after a mind and emotions session either. Occasionally sleep is a little lighter that night, or you feel groggy the next day; a normal training session soon clears it, and plenty of water helps. If it lasts beyond a day or two, tell your doctor.

Match-Day Recharge leaves you sharp for the game, not tired.

11I am abroad. Does distance matter?

No. In Jonathan's experience, a session reaches you anywhere, in any time zone, at full strength.

12What does a session feel like?

Some feel warmth, tingling, small twitches in the muscles or a deep calm. Some feel nothing during the session and notice the change afterwards.

13How soon will I notice a difference?

For some, in the first session; in Jonathan's experience, most notice within a few. The mind and emotions work keeps building for months after that.

Privacy

14Who will know I am working with Jonathan?

Within his practice, only Jonathan. His team works from your initials, and you are welcome to use a made-up name.

15Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, for athletes, agents and clubs alike. Jonathan and his company will sign yours, or send their own the same day you ask, before the first call. It never stops anyone raising a safeguarding concern or speaking to a doctor, an anti-doping body or the authorities.

Women athletes

16Can sessions be timed to my cycle?

Yes. That is what Cycle Support is for. Very heavy or worsening period pain, or a missing period, deserves a doctor's check.

17I have just had a baby. When can I start?

Back After Baby begins once your own medical team has cleared you to return to training.

Young athletes

18Can young players work with Jonathan?

From 16, with a parent's written consent, alongside their own doctor and, for academy players, the academy's medical team.

Getting started

19What happens on the first call?

You tell Jonathan what you want from your sport, and he tells you honestly whether he can help, and if not, why. It is by voice or video, at no charge, and lasts at least an hour.

20Who else works with Jonathan? Can I speak to one of them?

Jonathan never names a member, just as he will never name you. Ask, and he can introduce you discreetly to a current member who has agreed to speak.

21Do you work with whole squads?

Yes. Clubs start with a briefing in confidence, and the programme is then built around the squad.

22How much does it cost?

Fees depend on the membership and are explained on your first call. If you would like them sooner, ask on WhatsApp and we will send them in confidence, usually the same day.

23Is there a minimum commitment?

No. Membership runs month by month, and you can cancel at any time.

24What if I notice nothing?

Tell Jonathan. If he does not think it is working for you, he will say so.

25Is it religious?

No. There is nothing to believe, practise or join.

26How would a club know it is working?

By counting what it already counts, and the more it counts, the more it will see. Clubs agree their markers with Jonathan before they start: days lost to injury, availability, heart rate in games and how fast it comes down, distance covered, sleep and readiness scores, players' morning ratings of soreness, energy and mood, and training completed. The club owns the numbers.

27I am not in a club. How would I know it is working?

Track what you already track. Your race times, above all over longer distances. The hours of training you can sustain. How sore you are each morning, and your sleep and readiness scores. Power on the bike, split times in the pool, strokes per minute on the water, punches thrown per round. Note them before you start, and check them each month.

28What is a biofield specialist?

Jonathan works on the biofield, the energy in and around your body. He does not touch you, and distance makes no difference. He uses the title because no existing one fits what he does.

29Why is it called The Raised Game?

Because raising your game is the whole point. Jonathan recharges your body and steadies your mind, and members tell us they have more to give late in the game, the race or the round.
